Amanda Brugel

(February 27th, 2010 - Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a secluded community in that part of the island of Montreal that is known as"the West Island. This West Island, to those who are unfamiliar with it, is an extensive part that stretches from Lachine to the west. Amanda Brugel grew up on this island, and it is commonly called her birthplace. But she only stayed there for a short duration. Brugel developed on Courtice close to Oshawa located in Ontario. Her first ambition was to be an expert dancer. But, a growing increase caused her to surpass all of the dance partners she was able to have. In an article published by The Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. After I became too big for my male friends, I quit. Bruce was among the former dancers who turned into acting. The teacher she had at high school encouraged her into the right direction. It was her teacher who advised her to audition as Anne in their annual school production. The teacher who suggested that she take on a part in the annual school production. The show led her to receive an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2000. Brugel's career spans over twenty years, and she's been in over 60 productions that have screened on large screens and smaller ones. Her most recognizable role was the one of Rita (pictured below) in the television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel appeared only on rare occasions in the first season of The Handmaid's Tale. She was the only Canadian member.
